Woke up at 6 this morning cos I was so excited about my first shoot in the studio. I was pretty sure the light was going to be perfect… but in the back of mind I was worrying… I mean there is usually only one 6 in a day so I was that giddy! And it was exactly what I’d hoped for! If you’d have told me at the start of this year that I’d be ending it by opening my own natural light branding photography studio I’m not sure I’d have believed it 😂. But here we are…and I’m sooo close to being ready. I can’t wait for the first shoot day on 29th (only 1 place left now) but until then you’ll find me obsessing over props, cajoling Mr Scott into more DIY and hoping for more lovely sunshine like this. #brandphotography #brandingphotographer #contentstudio #studiolaunch #leedsbusiness #wakefieldbusiness

I’m Maryanne. Photographer for the past 18 years, specialising in Brand photography for the last 7. But here are a few things you might not know: I’ve written 25 cookbooks (long story…bit of an accident but involves a halogen oven and being bored in my office job). I hate cucumber with a passion. Vile stuff. I apologise for things even when it’s not my fault. My mum and dad nicknamed me Timothy at one point (you’ll get this if you’re old like me). I collected teaspoons as a kid because my grandad did. When everyone at school brought in their collections of sweet smelling rubbers I brought my special edition teaspoons. Safe to say standing up in class and announcing it ended my career in public speaking. If you ever see me doing a “talk” expect extreme discomfort. I am as awkward as anyone else in front of a camera. Imagine someone who won’t shut up and pulls faces to demonstrate what they’re talking about too - I need reminding to just smile. I’m obsessed with Sci-fi. Books, films. Just love the unknown. I still can’t do long division. I’m pretty good with a camera but I’m better with people. If you have a photoshoot with me I will adopt you. There’s no escape.
